DASSAULT SYSTÈMES: A DOCTOR TO SHAKE UP THE BOSSES.

Buying ArisGlobal: $1.8 billion.
Getting three brands to operate as one force: Ashwini Zenooz’s mandate.

On October 28, Dassault Systèmes announces her appointment. Radiologist. Salesforce veteran. Former Commure CEO.

She joined in September, sits on the Executive Committee, and reports directly to Pascal Daloz.

Under her authority: BIOVIA, MEDIDATA, ArisGlobal.
In her hands: strategy, integration, sales, partnerships.

The organizational message is clear: shared decisions now have a boss.

Why her?

Daloz needs to connect three worlds:
→ BIOVIA’s science.
→ MEDIDATA’s clinical trials: 42,000 studies and 13 million patients, according to the group.
→ ArisGlobal’s safety and regulatory operations: more than 200 clients.

The goal: move knowledge from molecule to patient, then from patient back to the next discovery. And sell that continuity.

Zenooz has worked across medicine, government, and tech. At Veterans Affairs, she worked on electronic health record modernization. At Salesforce, healthcare inside a platform giant. At Commure, she ran the company.

Her background suggests Daloz’s bet: a leader who can translate competing interests into a language each side understands. Then make the call.

Why now?

MEDIDATA was flat year over year in Q3. Growth is expected to resume in Q4.

ArisGlobal has just been acquired for $1.8 billion, plus up to $200 million tied to AI revenue milestones.

Integrate. Sell. Deliver.

This is where power starts to shift.

Aman Wasan remains ArisGlobal’s CEO. At MEDIDATA, Ian Marks was given a broader commercial mandate across Dassault’s Life Sciences organization back in August.

Cross-brand authority is taking shape. The brand bosses remain.

Who owns the customer when the deal spans multiple offerings?
Who sets product priorities?
Who gets the commission?
Who gives up budget?

Those decisions will make the platform real.

Zenooz understands the risk of surface-level buy-in. In 2023, she told Art of Leading: “At some point, people will nod and look the other way. Writing memos doesn’t cut it.”

She also acknowledged having rewarded technical competence while overlooking emotional intelligence.

Her first test: getting brand leaders to commit their teams to decisions that reach beyond their own businesses.

The title opens doors.
The tough calls redistribute power.

At Dassault, watch who settles the first clash of priorities. That will tell you how far her mandate really goes.
